Why do people wear and buy uggs?

I was gonna get uggs. well until I realized that I was actually going to be wearing sheep on my feet because uggs are made of sheepskin. Why don't people instead get the emu BRONTE boots which are made of sheep wool. But people think they are so cool just because there is a little ugg sign on the back of the boot. Don't ppl have hearts?
