MY friend loves her?

Okay my friend likes this girl a lot they are like best friends. Everyday in crew(like a homeroom meeting) she has a story to share about something he's done. I think she likes him but how should he tell her his feelings for her? Oh btw thers a lot more she talks about him on the bus and she talks about him as friends,everything!! If she doesn't feel the same how should he tell her his feelings, other than email, or phone calls. So yeah I mean to the face. I'm just trying to help him out.
