With a microscope you can easily see if the specimen has only one cell or many cells. If there is only one nucleus, and one cell wall or membrane, it is unicellular. So, for example, look at each specimen. How many cells are in it? Can you see more than one cell? If so, it is multicellular. You should have a diagram of a cell in your textbook so you know what a cell looks like.
