Why do intelligent and successful people accept kindergarten level spirituality as taught by...?

they need to grow and not just attend a church on Sunday and not think about God the rest of the week. I think Churches let adults teach who don't know God and who don't know how to teach kids etc and that gives God a bad name. They use the structure of the church to teach God, but miss God. I sent my kids to a church school. They got religion, but not love and a close relationship with God. They graduated from there not knowing God was real, but rebelled against man made rules. All people have to start somewhere to get to the next place.
